You'll find Taverna Brillo at the crossroads of Sturegatan and Humlegårdsgatan - a spacious, airy combination of Italian brasserie and foodhall with a selection of outlets open from early morning to late evening. You can get everything from pizza and espresso to deli foods and flowers here - and don't miss the Växthusbar which has DJs and live performances.
Taverna Brillo aims to be a lively meeting place perfect for all times of day and occasions. A restaurant and more that works equally well for popping into for a proper breakfast, a cup of coffee or nice lunch as for a post-work drink or a big celebratory meal.
Taverna Brillo's kitchen has recreated an Italian menu with all the well-loved Italian dishes that have become a part of Swedish food culture. Head chef Edoardo Ottati has chosen to create an Italian menu with a Swedish twist, where you can find innovative dishes such as their popular pizza topped with bleak roe.
As well as a huge restaurant with plenty of space for large parties there are several bars, an ice cream counter and a florist. Whether you're here to eat or shop, their produce is almost all hand selected from carefully chosen farms and small scale producers in both Sweden and Italy.
Brillo, as it's affectionately known, is a modern interpretation of a taverna and it's a popular meeting place for trendy Stockholmers and tourists in-the-know alike. The atmosphere is relaxed but tasteful and stylish and top class service is a priority. The large premises provide endless spaces in which to sit and hang out, creating a welcoming atmosphere you'll want to return to again and again.
In late summer of 2018, Svenska Brasserie opened Taverninan on the same premises as Taverna Brillo, but with its entrance on Humlegården. The restaurant is inspired by the Mediterranean and serves "fast slow food"; good value, simple dishes made from locally produced, organic ingredients. Crisp salads, substantial sandwiches, slow-cooked stews, pizzas, soups and more.
