Sweden's capital city isn't just growing size-wise - Stockholm also offers an ever-increasing choice of new restaurants, cafés and other great places to visit. All parts of town have their own particular charm and the central area is small enough to allow you to walk between destinations. Grab the chance to hop on a ferry, if you can, and experience Stockholm from the water. The choice of things to do is huge so if you've got a limited amount of time it can be hard to know where to start, and what not to miss. We've tailormade a special guide for anyone who just has a day, or 24 hours, to spend in Stockholm.

As well as his meat restaurant AG, celebrity chef Johan Jureskog runs two hamburger restaurants with a sustainable ethos. They offer a wide selection of both burgers and accompaniments and the bar serves both champagne and beer. The restaurants are in Vasastan and the city centre.

On the corner of Humlegårdsgatan/Sturegatan you'll find one of Stockholm's best known restaurants. Locals drop by to pick up breakfast, eat lunch, enjoy a post-work drink, buy gelato or enjoy a blow-out Italian meal. Choose between the café, dining room or al fresco dining area.
Culinary inspiration at Eatnam comes from the food the owner's grandmother used to make in southern Saigon. Fresh herbs and noodles make a regular appearance on the menu and favourite dishes include Vietnamese beef stew, noodle soup and fried spring rolls.

You'll find this popular neighbourhood restaurant in a lively part of Östermalm. Kommendören has a spacious bar for anyone (including four-legged friends) who wants to start, or round off, their meal with cocktails and a buzzy, relaxed dining room. The menu consists of international dishes in varying sizes. A great all-rounder, in other words.
