Meno Male quickly made a name for themselves in the Siberien neighbourhood of Vasastan for their artisan Neapolitan pizzas. And who doesn't love Neapolitan pizzas? At Meno Male they're baked in an Italian wood-fired oven for 90 seconds.

Melted mozzarella, homemade tomato sauce and crispy pizza bases with the toppings of your choice. Meno male means "thank goodness" in Italian, and the gang at Meno Male have managed to bring what might just be Italy's best export to Vasastan, Kungsholmen and Östermalm.

What makes Neapolitan pizzas so special? Firstly, the pizza dough has to prove for 72 hours before it's used. Once the tomato sauce, cheese and toppings are on the pizza, it's into the wood-fired oven, which is kept at a temperature of 450 degrees. The pizza is ready in just 90 seconds, which ensures the ingredients retain their flavour and texture.

Meno Male has an à la carte menu that includes classics such as Margherita and Frutti Di Mare, along with slightly more daring flavours such as smoked mozzarella, spicy salami and pistachio cream. If you're a sophisticated pizza lover with particular tastes you can create your own combination of flavours and toppings. If you fancy rounding off your meal with something sweet, go for the "Starita": fried pizza dough with Nutella.

Drinks-wise you can choose from beer, cocktails, sparkling San Pelligrino and, naturally, a wine list filled with Italian grapes.

The restaurant is open for lunch, dinner and takeaway all week.
