Solen serves up warm flavours from destinations such as Tel Aviv, Naples, Santa Fe and Oaxaca, in well-designed surroundings ideal for socialising and enjoying culinary delights. Celebrate the weekend with a festive lunch or dinner filled with various small dishes, barbecue and pizzas. The restaurant is run by renowned chef duo Adam and Albin, who are also behind the helm of Michelin-starred restaurant Adam/Albin.

This ambitious neighbourhood restaurant on Mariatorget is run by the restaurateurs behind popular ventures such as Linje Tio, and they're open seven days a week too. A special four-course menu is served on Sundays, which could include clams and apple pie for dessert.

The rustic restaurant has been named Sweden's best steakhouse several times and offers a wide selection of well-prepared cuts such as entrecôte, porterhouse, and club steak. There are also a few dishes with fish or vegetarian options on the menu, as well as Southern European small plates.

Agnes is run by three restaurateurs with experience from popular restaurants such as Tranan and Boqueria. Choose from small dishes, main courses and sharing menus and enjoy the easy atmosphere with communal tables and an open kitchen.

The menu changes regularly, so if you want to know exactly what's being served, you can check their social media – or let the chefs surprise you. The atmosphere is cosy and exudes a luxurious neighbourhood restaurant feel.

Sundays have a relaxed atmosphere and a family-friendly vibe at this sports bar and restaurant in Hornsberg. Pair your meal with a game of shuffleboard, a nice Sunday stroll along the waterfront, or simply sit back and enjoy the view from the window seats.

This French-influenced neighbourhood restaurant, high up in east Södermalm close to Vitabergs park, makes regular appearances on Instagram with their Cacio e pepe. The atmosphere is relaxed and it's an ideal place to come any day of the week, for cocktails or a cosy dinner. The standard's always high at Café Nizza.

Michelin-starred chef Björn Frantzén is behind this ambitious brasserie in Östermalm, but despite the high gastronomic bar, Astoria aims to be a relaxed meeting place for anyone who wants to hang out and eat and drink well. The restaurant takes its name from the building it's in, the former Astoria cinema. The menu consists of Continental flavours.

Kommendören, on Kommendörsgatan, is open seven days a week and they serve the kind of food they themselves want to eat. Round off the week at this New York-inspired bistro with dishes such as seared tuna, Asian steak tartare and grilled Argentinian red prawns, not to mention desserts such as vanilla ice cream with toffeel sauce and caramelised popcorn. 

The atmosphere at this salty sister restaurant is as lively as at Rolfs Kök, but the menu is more sea-focused. Relax and enjoy the buzz, while filling your stomach with the very freshest produce the sea has to offer. 

How about rounding off the week in Japanese style, with numerous small dishes, skewers straight from the grill, and perhaps a dash of sake? Miyakodori aims to offer Stockholmers a true izakaya experience - that is, a relaxed place to meet over food and drink. Expect ultra-fresh ingredients and innovative flavour combinations.

Take your car, boat or public transport out to Slipen, which is housed in an old boatyard right next to the water. The bistro is run by the Fabrique café chain, and they've created a relaxed hangout serving good, mainly Swedish, food. When you want to meet up with your best friend for a Sunday gossip over a cold beer. Frippe is a real go-to spot. Socialise in a Continental way - that is to say, perched at the bar with various Spanish small and medium-sized dishes to share. This award-winning little restaurant at the end of Folkungagatan has been a favourite with Stockholmers since they opened. From the outside, Pat's Place doesn't look like anything special, but once inside you'll find an unpretentious restaurant serving delicious Thai tapas.

Rawbata has gathered together some of the best aspects of Japanese cuisine has to offer, such as ramen, bowls and Japanese small dishes grilled over a robatayaki grill, under one roof. Order a selection of small dishes and share with the table, or just something for yourself. They also serve cocktails with sake and Asian flavourings, as well as wine, beer and non-alcoholic options.

Whether you're craving a perfectly served beer or some hearty Eastern European home-cooked food, Soldaten Švejk is the place to come. Various schnitzels are classics on the menu, as well as goulash and breaded cheese, best paired with a full-bodied Bernard or Gambrinus. The unpretentious venue enhances the atmosphere, which is relaxed and friendly.

Take the lift up to the eighth floor inside the Scandic Continental hotel, where you'll find their fabulous rooftop bar, Capital. Enjoy a variety of dishes to satisfy your hunger, such as salads, burgers, and other favourites, as well as smaller snacks like charcuterie and fries, all in relaxed surroundings. If you fancy a cocktail, you've come to the right place: both signature drinks and classic cocktails are expertly prepared here.

The owners of Mellqvist Matbar on Rörstrandsgatan aim to provide a warm, welcoming dinner experience with a second-living-room feel. On Sundays they celebrate “Schnitzel Sunday”, with new variations on classic schnitzel. Expect influences from all over the world - from Austrian schnitzels to Japanese tonkatsu. Pair your meal with wines hand selected by the owners themselves. 

You can count on mega-popular, award-winning Ho's in Hornstull seven days a week. Groups of families and friends gather here to eat authentic Chinese dishes in a relaxed atmosphere, and for anyone that prefers Thai food, their sister restaurant Ho's Thai is just a few doors down.

Sundays are perfect for really rich, tasty comfort food, especially if Saturday night was a big one. At Texas-influenced Brisket & Friends, you can build your own meal of meaty or vegetarian protein paired with sides like mac n' cheese, creamed corn, and sweet potatoes. Cosy and warming.

This popular pizza bistro on Skånegatan also serves various Zeitgeisty main courses. Lots of guests come just for the pizza though, which is served direct from the wood-fired oven. Open until late seven days a week.

This pizza restaurant in Hornstull is run by Aadel Kersh from Kersh Kafferosteri coffee roasters. They serve pizzas made from Neapolitan dough, with flavours from Palestine and Lebanon. Arabian pizzas, interesting wines, beers and coffee - what could be better?

Little Babette is part of the stretch of trendy restaurants along Roslagsgatan and getting a booking here isn't always easy. Legendary pizzas, innovative small dishes and an impressive wine list are on offer seven days a week, and what could be more perfect on a Sunday afternoon?

At this rustic yet posh pizzeria pizzas are made from organic flour from Saltå mill and cut up into slices so everyone around the table can share. You can also get salads, flatbreads and chicken wings, and combine it all with Swedish microbrews.

Take a pew among the wooden chairs and communal tables and choose a favourite from the limited pizza menu with both new and classic flavours. There's always a special pizza of the week, made from seasonal ingredients.
