At À La Lo, mother-and-daughter team Lovisa and Annika have created their own plant-based paradise. They serve vegan croissants, pastries, porridge and smoothies are served in the charming Vasastan café, and at weekends the menu expands with luxurious brunch dishes.  The brunch plate with scrambled tofu, oven-baked tomato, toasted levain bread, sausage and avocado is a real hit among Stockholm's brunch fans.

At Boulebar they serve French brunch dishes to your table, in several generous rounds, culminating in coffee and a dessert table. Every course has a vegetarian alternative. While you're there, play a round of boules before or after your food.

Eat a full English breakfast at Greasy Spoon with sausage, rösti, mushrooms and scrambled tofu, all completely free from animal products. Breakfast and brunch are served all day, and as a vegan you can fill your stomach with, among other things, avocado sandwiches, American pancakes and banana bread.

Banacado has embraced the all-day breakfast concept, focusing on plant-based and healthy treats. Smoothie bowls, porridge, salads and sweets are just a few of the options on the menu, which is also completely free from both gluten and refined sugar.

Sthlm Brunch Club may not be a purely vegan place, but almost everything on the menu can be ordered in a vegetarian or vegan version. They serve Instagram-friendly brunch dishes such as American pancakes, English breakfast, avocado sandwiches and freakshakes from morning until night.

"Vegan for the animals" is the motto at this completely vegan Södermalm café, which as well as lunch and coffee serves a couple of hearty brunch dishes. How about a brunch plate filled with pancakes with toppings, vegan scrambled eggs, an acai bowl and coffee?

Hermans has been a popular spot for vegetarians and vegans since the Nineties and their plant-based brunch buffet is perfect for anyone hungry and craving hearty vegetarian food. Their weekend buffet is extensive and well filled with everything from salads, hot dishes and soups to homemade bread and organic coffee.

Tavernan at the Multicultural Centre serves a climate-friendly and vegetarian brunch one Saturday a month. They lay out a buffet with flavours from all over the world and seasonal ingredients. The buffet includes goodies such as fresh waffles, croissants, risotto and a cheese board.
