Low & Slow opened on the 4th of July 2016 in Vasastan and it's run by a Swedish/American couple, Caroline and Ben. They serve BBQ meat smoked in a specially imported smoker from Texas and the atmosphere and decor are just as influenced by the southern states as the food, with neon signs, photographs, and blues music.

Kommendören offers a virtual trip to the Big Apple; the sleek bistro is complete with subway tiles, leather and brass trimmings and a laidback vibe. Vassa Eggen's sister restaurant boasts an impressive East coast menu featuring steaks, lobster tacos and classic brunch favourites such as kale salad, blueberry pancakes and burgers. The bar is a popular haunt after hours.

This American restaurant chain has a lot of years under its belt - TGI Fridays was founded in 1965 in New York and there are now several branches in Stockholm. A fun, friendly Friday atmosphere prevails all week and naturally the menu is filled with American classics such as hamburgers, ribs, steaks and decadent desserts. Their cocktails and happy hour deals also draw in the crowds.
Celebrated garage restaurarant in Jordbro
If you're craving true Texas-style BBQ, get down to Det Arroganta Svinet ("The arrogant pig") in Jordbro south of Stockholm. Tommy Granström opened up the doors to his own garage in the spring of 2018, serving up what he refers to as "Sweden's best Texas BBQ".
