When I saw that the restaurant was under renovation so I really hoped that the renovation would have affected the restaurant's quality or service. Unfortunately, it is a fate some restaurants go to the meeting that when they are going to spruce up their room so they lose the feeling that one might initially went there for.
My fear was unjustified. Newly refurbished Stockholm fish is about something even better after the renovation. I loved the new interior, very modernly stripped down but still warm. The venue invites you to long dinners and pleasant conversations. I appreciate the music was on a good volume so you did not have to scream over the table. We got a large oval table that suited our company perfectly. Some were couches where the majority of us got the place, it was very comfortable, then sat one of us on the chairs. The view is nice when you can check on all people who pass by on the way to the central station. The restaurant is very central, so it is easy for everyone to get there.
The service was as before on the top. Our waitress had really good track of our table and serviced us non-stop. She was careful that our orders were right and that the wine was to the satisfaction. I appreciate a waitress/waiter who always questions if you want refill when the glass is empty. In our case we had a bottle of champagne on ice and we never had to recall that it was on cooling without it was smoothly loaded.
The food was delicious. The seafood tasted salty and fresh and was nicely laid. No peel bits in oysters (big plus). Great accessories such as Skagen, small toast and vinegar to the oysters. I like that they have many different sizes on their shellfish plateaus, even for a single person if not everyone in the party wants. We were 5 people and we ordered 1 luxplatå with champagne, a large shellfish plateau and the last ordered a char. We were all stoppers measured on our meals and there were even some shrimp over.
For dessert It was taken truffles and a glace au four that tasted heavenly good. I liked the little jug of Karamellsås you got on the side to pour on yourself.
Everything was well prepared/Vältillrett and fresh.
The price? Absolutely it costs but it does all the shellfish plateaus. I still think their package of luxplatå and a bottle of champagne for 2400 on two people is affordable, or at least what you should expect to pay for that kind of package. They do not stand out in price against other similar restaurants and their service makes you feel really well suited, only it is worth a lot.
I highly recommend this restaurant. It is super cozy for a little more luxurious date and the top for a dinner with friends or family. I will definitely come here again! If you have time after dinner, I recommend that you go up to the hotel's skybar and have a drink!
