His Korean culinary namedropping and generally self-absorbed attitude was a dreary setting for the visit - plus the ensuing stomach bug, of course. No, there won't be a return visit.

Had to say that I was disappointed by this restaurant. Either I had too high hopes or it has simply become over-hypad.
Korean food was there, but maybe not really to 100% when it came to the flavors. Have himself lived in Korea for years, and was there with a Korean friend who agreed with me about this. The food was really good in itself, but still did not feel completely authentic. Tteokbokkin was something I had been looking forward to most because it is one of my absolute favourites in Korean cuisine and has so far not seen any restaurant serve it before. But for a little too high price you got a very small portion. For me, Tteokbokki has always been about strength, and in the We got to eat there was no big deal on that front. Had you gotten more than 10 pieces and a hefty strong taste so I had loved it, but unfortunately it was not so. We ate even bossam, which was actually really good. The flavors were in place and the meat was cooked in a proper manner. But once again it was missing on the size front. The price was very good. Since we still felt hungry, we also ordered a doenjangjjigae (a sojaböne stew), and it was probably the worst I have each with. Doenjangjjigae is also one of my absolute favorites when it comes to Korean food, and what we got did not taste at all as the man has had to eat so many times in Korea. It basically tasted nothing.
The food was very fresh and presentable, and the venue was very nice, with Korean music in the speakers and Korean sticks and water jugs. However, maybe a bit too modern a la Swedish style? But still perfectly okay. The staff was nice in itself but would have liked to feel a little more enthusiasm from their side when you talked to them, they felt very pretentious, and although they were generally nice, it was more of a good feeling, if you say so. They began to succumb to the table even though my friend still sat and ate, when we asked for the bill, they just put the card reader on the table and walked away, and you barely got even a "goodbye" or "Thank you" when you walked away, which left a very bad impression on me.
So in summary: Here you go if you want to spend money for small portions, is not so familiar with the Korean tastes, and does not care much about the staff's service.

Tyvärr var där tidigt när dom var nyöppnade och maten var medel , ätit mkt koreansk mat och tyvärr så höll den inte måttet alls 😢. Tråkigt men men blir inte nått mer besök där . Sen var det väldigt synd att man går på en restaurang där en av ägarna är ute o servar sina ”kompis” gäster och är rätt kort och ointresserad av oss ”vanliga” gäster ... hälsade inte upp vinet för smakprov , fyllde ej på glasen . Många missade saker i vad ett restaurang besök skall innehålla . Mitt tips välj en restaurang som kan bättre 🤦♂️.
