Tre besök har det blivit på Farang, det samlade betyget blir 4 men det är i det sötaste laget.

Hypen var som störst första månaderna men nu är det lugnare och det är möjligt att få bord redan samma kväll. För mig är det skönt, även om jag gillar planering är impulsmiddagar ofta så härliga.

Den första känslan som möter en är mörker. Hela Farang ligger som i en dunkel del av världen. Personalen är klädda i svart, baren är mörk och lokalen är mörk.

Två av tre gånger har det blivit avsmakningsmenyer och det är nog det jag rekommenderar mest.
Det bästa tipset är att komma hungrig och börja med en drink, och då specifikt Lady Boi, allt med litchi och ingefärsöl är på min favoritlista.
Vad du än bestämmer dig för så är det två saker du måste äta: Cha Plu blad med varmrökt lax för det feta och syrliga och den krispiga grisen med palmsocker. Det är en söt rätt och just den kombinationen med gris gör det till en smakexplosion.

Eftersom mycket på menyn är sött är det tufft att orka äta söta desserter efteråt men varför inte ta en paus och ta in en drink innan desserten, för du vill inte missa möjligheten att beställa in Farangs dessert för två. En gång fanns det en dessert som hette Thai Airways med karamelliserad banan, rostad banankräm och kokosglass. Fantastisk! Den hette Thai Airways eftersom den serverades på gammalt första klass porslin från just flygbolaget.

Jag är nog klar med Farang för ett tag, mitt nästa besök blir i så fall på Gaijin i Helsingfors.

Was hitdragen without knowing the first night back home in Sweden for almost a year and it may well become a tradition. A really good overall experience with really nice decor and a comfortable atmosphere, directly looking only into it's probably easy to miss it underlying the outer bar.
We were 4 people with slightly different tastes so we decided to take one of the set menus on the advice from our fantastic waitress Sophie, it was at the same time, no problems whatsoever to replace some of the seafood for the half of society that was a little fussy. Which was their loss, for seafood was amazingly well balanced and flavorful, so we were pleasantly surprised when lamb steaks were delicious.
All in excellent size as saturated even those men that can eat from a small Italian village.

Super happy and will certainly go here again.

Not since Urspringliga Mooncake struck again for way too many years ago, this level of Asian fusion offered in Stockholm. I am sorry if I have dissenting opinion on this hot spot, but I don't have in my long life ever experienced such a discrepancy between quality and price. We were a group of 10 people, who would celebrate my son's 30th birthday and everyone got the House's menu for 645 staggering crowns without drinking (which in and of itself was terribly expensive). It was not too bad with one mouthful of each hors d'oeuvres. Then came the knaperstekta pig, which was anything but crispy and consisted of a bunch of sega köttrådar. Totally tasteless, almost inedible, it just grew in my mouth. Since small small to (some non-edible tofubitar) and so tonight's last main course, oxkind, which was just as stringy, sönderkokta that totally tasteless meat pieces.
OK, the rice was first class and the minus ball dessert (a dessert spoon sorbet in little frozen plant foods) was good, but for the 645 dollars plus tip-Adrian! Restaurant looks really nice, a bit dark, but overall well designed with a huge open kitchen. Staff is attentive and explained the menu well (we had a vegan in the party).
The downside to the experience is the noice level and the inexistent acoustics, we could barely hear each other.
Otherwise the food is tasty and well presented. Would give 5stars if they fixed the ambience.
