Kennys Gelato Sickla

Family-owned Kennys Gelato serves a wide selection of gelato made freshly every day. The counter includes everything from classic flavours such as pistachio and chocolate to more experimental flavours, and there are always vegan options and sorbets to cool you off in the summer heat. Kennys Gelato is run by master ice cream maker Kenny Mattson, who has won several prizes for his gelato.

You'll find Kennys Gelato Sickla in the heart of Sickla on Marcusplatsen just outside Dieselverkstaden and the cinema. There's a large, leafy outdoor serving area with a table tennis table, masses of board games and a large playground right next door. In addition to ice cream they also serve various kinds of flatbread pizzas. Accompany your food with bubbles, beer, wine or another refreshing drink.

Owner Kenny Mattson has won several prizes for his gelato, including Ice Cream Maker of the Year at the Swedish Ice Cream Championships in 2022. The following year, 2023, he sat on the jury. He has loved ice cream since he was a child, but it wasn't until 2018 when he went on a master gelato maker course at Carpigiani Gelato University that he became truly passionate about it.

Every morning the team makes twelve gelato and sorbet flavours. There's always something to suit all tastes, but some of their most popular flavours are Markoolio's hazelnut with pistachio and salted caramel, Pernilla Wahlgren's lemon pie, Sofia Wistam's wild strawberry and prosecco sorbet and Siciliana supreme. And if you happen to drop by on a day they're serving burnt butter and Kinder egg flavour, you should definitely try this big seller.
