Overlooking the Royal palace, the Reichstag and the Grand Hotel and in this ancient environment it is only right that this is where lobster is served.
Half, whole, scalloped, fried, boiled; The choice is yours and with a price from 230 per half it is clearly affordable for what you get.
Lunch a rainy and grey Wednesday deserved nothing less than the scalloped lobster. We both took a half. The lobster is served with fries, grilled lemon and kronärtskocksbearnaise. Changing from pommes to lettuce was no problem.
It really did not skimp on Gratineringen and the good meat got extra sting of the stored cheese. Fresh and tangy salad in a high bowl that made it a little hard to eat.
The best thing about lobster is the great clone filled with meat and even if it is hardly a right you eat when you want to impress someone because it gets a little mess then it is a right that fits to talk about. How do you crack the clone?
Kronärtskocksbearnaisen was really pricked over, magically good and I had easily eaten it with spoon.
The service was charming and attentive and they were so keen that it would not rain on us. The food came fast and we didn't have to sit with empty plates for a long time. Strong, warm and delicious café served in white large cups on the barrel, love the cup on the barrel!
Why then four and not five stars? It is about the atmosphere, the environment itself. I can not help that I compare with Guldterrassen because it is the same restaurateur and in the same house. Guldterrassen has succeeded perfectly with the feeling of luxury but here it still does not feel clear. The tables wiggle on the ground and the bar is a bit too big and bare. I am thinking that a sunny evening with full of people it is cruel but to create that feeling a rainy Wednesday is a challenge.
In short: amazing lobster, fast and attentive service and a place to return to as long as possible before it closes for the season.
