Review of Pier 16 – by Paul S.

In all its different incarnations Pier 16 or Restaurant J etc, seems only to have been able to provide good service or good food, never both at the same time. The new Pier 16 has now been able to break this pattern and provide bad service and bad food at the same time. We ordered drinks, some came, some did not, no explanation, eventually it was explained that the draught beer was not working, I was offered a Danish beer which turned out to be from France!
After waiting 1 hour and 20 minutes for food and after many reminders and just as we informed we would walk out, our food came. We were 4 adults and one child. One of the hambugers buns was burnt, the child's meal was covered in black pepper. We asked for the Manager, a small laugh from the staff preceeded an explanation that Managers do not stay for the evening.
It is really sad that this restaurant just can't get it together. The latest version of this restaurant with more affordable choices (not cheap) had real promise, the delivery is unfortunately way, way below expected and acceptable levels.
