I can agree that pastis is charming, a bit messy French bistro in every way, the food is unfortunately very low class both in raw material and cooking. Ordered a mushroom dish for starters that resembled the sluggish mushroom sauce you got picked up on the pork noissetes in all the resort restaurants in the '90s, don't know what the chef was thinking here, continued with moules for the main course but there was no taste success here either , just tasted garlic type and the mussels overcooked. My table lady ordered a steak tartare for starter that was ok, but a little shady texture. the young waiter was engaged and correct with the serving. Wouldn't call it affordable considering the prices in the menu.
