Eataly, the Italian food mecca with branches in Manhattan and Tokyo, can now be found in spectacular former cinema premises on Biblioteksgatan in Stockholm. The popular concept includes three restaurants, a foodhall and café spread out over two floors and 3,000 square metres. The idea is to gather everything under one roof - and only to stock and serve the finest quality produce.
The lively "piazza" at the centre of Eataly is inspired by traditional Italian town squares. A place for everyone who wants to meet and hang out over good food and drinks. Come for lunch or dinner, or meet up for a pre-dinner drink with friends. The menu includes cheese and charcuterie, pasta dishes, salads and grilled dishes, and they also have a seafood counter. Wine, beer and cocktails are all available.
Prima, which has it's own entrance from Biblioteksgatan, is a classic Italian restaurant with a youthful, modern twist. They serve primarily seasonal small dishes to share, but also larger main courses. In the evenings Prima converts into a lively bar and for anyone who wants to eat al fresco, Prima has an outdoor eating area that's open all year round.
La Pasta & La Pizza
If you're hankering after pasta and authentic Neapolitan pizzas, this restaurant on the second floor is the place to go. They work with the Italian pizza specialists Rossopomodoro to serve wood-fired pizzas baked in the oven for 90 seonds. The pasta is also handmade on site.
