I can almost feel a little sorry for the Bun Meat Bun gang. Just a few years ago, before Bastard Burgers opened their restaurants and completely blew me off the chair with their burgers, so I had loved this! But now they have to see themselves beaten in several ways by their new competitors.
The venue is not too funny and it really feels like a fast food place. They offer no alcohol, only soft drinks and milkshakes, and the menu is sadly quite small. There are vegetarian options and a couple of different with meat, but on the whole it feels a little boring. It is also a bit off and a good distance from Farsta town centre. Close to Farsta Strand S-Bahn station.
The staff is nice, the food is coming quickly and is good. As I said, it is almost unfair to review in comparison to Bastard but it is the comparison I make. Bastards has many different options that make me happy to go back. I absolutely think that Bun Meat Bun is worth a visit – for the burger is really, really tasty! But I don't feel like I have any need to go back there again, much because of the limited menu. Their sweet potato spommes and dipping sauces were really good. Their usual fries with melted cheese and jalapeno on were, however, grossly overrated.
They still get a four because the food is good!
