Lilla ön utanför Grand Hotell. Hit tar man sig med cykel, gå, buss eller med Djurgårdsfärjan. Trevligt med restaurang Torpedverkstan och de gamla fina båtarna. Moderna museet ligger uppe på toppen av ön.
The small island in central Stockholm surrounded by water, boats and stunning views! You get an archipelago feel and are one of the favorite places to take a walk. Feel free to go out here with a lunch, coffee in hand or just nice company of friends. Sit on a bench that is on the road along the water and just feel the summer heat. But with a warm coat you can definitely sit here or go for a walk in autumn or spring as well.
As I said, I like to stroll around here, but I am more than happy to sit down at one of the restaurants or cafés that are here... or why not turn into one of the many museeums! The architect and design centre often has very exciting and interesting exhibitions that I keep a little extra up to date on, but also the modern museum has been visited.
There's usually not a lot of people. You see some people running, some who are swimming (yes you can take a baptism if you want!) and some tourists, but are still very calm which can be nice sometimes. To get away to a quieter environment in a quieter city like Stockholm.
You may not have thought about getting out here and visiting Skeppsholmen even though you are in the city, but is really something I think you should do. At least I always come back here and now that the sun has finally looked out, I can't wait to get back to the cozy full days here and the walks on Skeppsholmen!
