I don't know what it is about Scandic, new openings and badly planned receptions?!
Now I realize that after almost 20 years in hotels & restaurants, I'm injured, but at Haymarket it's half a staircase down, on Grand Central blocks big and fat pillars (like old Night Manager I just shake my head), at DTC it's ok if not perfect but at Contan it's wedged behind a staircase and a seating area. I don't get it.
Anyway... The staff in the scratch are nice and efficient, the rooms are nicely contemplative with some fun design fetatures like full-body mirrors - well, if you're like me 192 cm you don't really see combing yourself without bending your back - in some industrial copper design. The beds are comfortable and breakfast not bad.
The rooftop bar is a little overrated in my opinion. The bar is ok, but the terrace itself like that.
