När jag öppnar dörren och tar mina första steg in på det förvånansvärt blygsamma caféet känns det som att jag har klivit in på ett kvarterscafé i Frankrike. Det nästan schackrutsmönstrade golvet, de små rundade borden som löper längs med caféts välvda vägg och en uppsjö av bakverk noggrant uppradade bakom glasskivor. Samtidigt känns det avskalat, varmt och bekant. För det är ju inte i Frankrike jag är, utan på en smågata i min hemstad - och det känns minst lika mycket som det andra. Det känns som jag varit här förut, som att jag varit borta, hunnit glömma och nu fått minnena tillbaka. Det känns som att träffa en gammal vän och glädjas åt det nya, samtidigt som det välbekanta fortfarande finns kvar.

Det jag beställer, en brioche bressane och en bryggkaffe, är så bra det kan bli. Bullen är mjuk och lätt som ett moln men har ändå spänst och textur i kombination med en perfekt balans av sötma och väldigt diskret sälta. Kaffet är fantastiskt, precis i min smak. Personalen är jättetrevlig och priserna är marginellt högre än vad som går att hitta på andra caféer - vilket enligt mig tveklöst är befogat. Allt är verkligen super.

Så, en ny favorit. Hit kommer jag komma tillbaka länge. Vi ses väl snart igen då, kompis!

Det jag saknar är mer mys i lokalen, man är tvungen att sitta på barstolar eller utomhus nästan på gatan. Hade detta funnits så hade detta café blivit mitt nästa go-to ställe.. fast det blir det nog ändå.
