Folkoperan is a stage on Hornsgatan 72, Södermalm in Stockholm.

1976 öppnade Folkoperan som idag är Sveriges största arbetsplats för frilansande sångare och musiker som ackompenjerar alla föreställningar. Tanken här är att förnya operan, att göra den mer begriplig, som de uttrycker det själva. Därför sjungs allt på svenska. Här sätts främst klassiska verk upp, men även nyskrivna operor och till och med opera för barn.
