Warung – or "Hornstull's Bali", as they call themselves - bring a little taste of Indonesia to trendy Södermalm. They serve Indonesian dishes made from seasonal Nordic ingredients, organic where possible, and you can stay on for a cocktail in the bar.
The menu consists of Indonesian "tapas" and typical main courses made from top-notch, often organic, Swedish ingredients. Expect dishes such as Gado Gado and catch of the day, along with fusion-style desserts. The bar follows the Indonesian/Nordic theme, with innovatively flavoured cocktails, and DJs create a lively vibe at weekends.
If you prefer to eat in more intimate surroundings, book Warung's chambre séparée with space for around 20 people. During the summer months the restaurant facade transforms into a small, exotic outdoor drinking and dining area.
