Really cosy space. Cozy, Dim lighting and plush sofas. The menu offers a bit of everything. We shared the fried Sweetbreads with oxmärgsmajonnäs and yellowfin tuna for an appetizer. The former was the evening's most delicious. While the tuna was good, but nothing special. For the main course we shared the chicken with caper mayonnaise and halibut with bearnaise. Both of them were a little alarmed, especially the halibut. Both were okay. Price wise it was pretty normal, could have been worse, given the situation, etc. We got good service during the evening. Ocrystal is definitely not a tourist hangout, but with its location on the main square so I assume that it is difficult to completely wash away tourist the feeling that arose a bit easy in some quarters. If you had removed the last of this feeling, and at the same time sharpened to the kitchen a little, so it would have been a direct hit.

The room is very cozy, warm and welcoming. Dim lighting, comfortable chairs and sofas. The service is extremely slow. We were alone in the room for about 2 hours, no other guests, yet the service was inattentive and a bit impersonal. Felt a bit like kids on work experience We came here via The fork with a 40% offer and thanks to that the dinner was good. Otherwise, if you were to pay full price, it's probably a bit overrated for food that is so mediocre that Stortorgskällaren could be poster-child for the word lagom. The steak tartare was a mammoth portion but nothing stood out. Every bite was equally monotonous and if you need a kilo of mayonnaise to "highlight" the flavors, well then this is a problem. One of the party chose the pot... Apparently, it was completely unseasoned. She used half the salt shaker to bring out any flavors at all. Actually, the place gets a 2 considering hubris and overpriced. But the venue and ambient saves. Would I recommend the place, even with a 40% discount? Not really, but considering that there are so many more places with lousy food, Stortorgskällaren is at least good enough even if the next day you will forget completely what you ate
