I had incredibly high expectations of Café Nizza. Have seen many pictures on social media and heard that the pasta should be magical. Me and my friend have tried to get a table on several occasions, but it is always fully booked. But then we were out in good time on the occasion that we were going to celebrate my friend's birthday and got a table at 8 pm. Firstly, I would recommend coming here on a normal weekday when you feel like eating out and maybe not on a more festive occasion when something bigger is to be celebrated. Café Nizza is quite simple. Nothing extravagant. Without everyday and simple. When we arrived at the restaurant, the door was wide open. It was a chilly evening and almost sub-zero temperatures. We were allocated a very nice table, unfortunately right at the door. Only a velvet veil covered the door. And of course it didn't give much to heat. A girl who sat on the opposite side of the door, pulled the veil all the time and we who sat in our fancy dresses all the dinner was freezing to death. It was noticeable who were regulars because they were wearing all the knitted sweaters.
We ordered a French red wine: "Babette". Very good. Except the waiter poured about half of my glass compared to my company. Boring... We ordered Olives and almonds as an appetizer. Good but nothing out of the ordinary. Each Cacio e Pepe to the main course. None of us could have escaped this pasta dish. But unfortunately nothing out of the ordinary. It was good, but certainly not a taste sensation. I'm afraid I didn't think it was worth its price... After that, some felt satisfied so there was no dessert.

Nice atmosphere and staff, but had been expecting much more of their food. It was only when efterrrätyen was served like it was a real treat, before a little boring.
