Uppdaterad Maj -24: Astoria är typ en favorit, men kanske inte mest för maten utan för miljön. Man äter för det mesta gott, men ibland faller det. Denna gång middag en söndagskväll, enkel kalvschnitzel och en klassisk Ceasar sallad med kyckling som tillagas vid bordet så är allt topp. Få bra restauranger som är öppna på söndag så det är ett extra plus.
Wow, otroligt snyggt på alla våningar, bar som restauranger. Servicen är uppmärksam, kunnig och trevlig. Maten, jag den är ju också wow. Jag har nu varit här 4 gånger dom senaste 6 månaderna, 3 luncher och 1 middag. Senaste lunchen förra veckan smakade fantastisk. Jag åt dagens fisksoppa, som en fiskrätt med lax och torsk i en asiatisk "sås", grymt god, så god att påfyllning serverades av såsen. Rekommenderar starkt ett besök.

Contrary to what several people seem to think was a bit uneven on the food, I had a great experience, and despite high expectations, I was still wowed. Price tag definitely in the higher but there are many restaurants in Stockholm that take as much from the wallet with far from the same quality of service, local and food. Hence I went from Astoria with the feeling of wow and, what a catch! We had a later sitting and were warmly welcomed in the door and got the empty luxury of choosing a table outside or inside, but despite the warmth, the desire was to experience the evening from the restaurant itself and not from the street. The entrance hall is cool where you get to step in and down a bar area and then again rise to the dining room. The staff impressed and were very caring. In all honesty, had a very difficult time choosing from the menu (so have to come back to eat more) but it landed in oysters Rockefeller as well as duck, both with strong recommendation but perhaps empty a little stronger for the oysters.
