Miss Clara is an urban boutique hotel, located in what was once an old girls' school. World-renowned architect Gert Wingårdh renovated and restored the building, fusing its original Art Nouveau style with modern Scandinavian design. The result is impressive to say the least; French Vogue has listed Miss Clara as one of ten most beautiful hotels in the world.
The hotel pays homage to a former principal that worked at the school in the early 1900s, a certain Miss Clara. The hotel is both elegant and functional, featuring Swedish raw materials and specially designed furniture. The building is characterised by large Art Nouveau windows and dark herringbone floors. The hotel boasts 92 personalized rooms, ranging from intimate singles to spacious duplex suites.
Every morning an impressive breakfast buffet is served in the dining room. The offering includes homemade muesli and gluten- and lactose-free options. Additional amenities include a gym and sauna, as well as a lounge, chambre separée, and a glassed in terrace on the fifth floor. The premises are perfectly adapted to host events. The hotel is located in one of the city's liveliest neighbourhoods, and for those who want to take part of the city's cultural offering, restaurants, bars, night clubs and shopping areas are located just a stone throw away.
Restaurant and bar
Miss Clara Hotel also has an ambitious restaurant and bar that appeals to hotel guests and locals alike. Classic bistro dishes are served in a continental environment at Miss Clara, innovative cocktails are whipped up at the bar and mouth-watering Neapolitan pizzas are served at Giro. Guests can dine al fresco during summer months.
