Of course it's nice and cozy, but the Grand Hotel comes with certain expectations. I don't have anything negative to say, just that you shouldn't have high expectations.
Since we had made a small special booking (booked through some contact) there was a small card in the room that said like "Warm welcome, we hope you will enjoy it......... Enjoy the cold chamapag, and don't forget to bring the flowers and little gift home." Signed by three people (don't remember exactly which ones, but like the hotel manager and someone else). Super nice! The only problem was that there was no champagne, no flowers, no gift. Just the card. 😬 We walked past the scratch when we were going out to dinner and said it and they said, "Oh, there must have been something wrong with the room service. We'll make sure you're back." When we returned, there was half a bottle of Champagne, but no card anymore and no flowers or any gift. It was hard for them to get anything so late at night. The champagne itself would have been a great surprise, but now it was a bit of a disappointment instead.
Otherwise, the service was great. The spa is also world class, the massage I got was probably the best ever. Make sure that entry is included in your package if you are not going to take treatment (which costs like 2000 SEK), as it is ridiculously expensive to pay entry.
The breakfast was good, but again a little higher expectations.
