The spa part absolutely 5 stars, was great to spend the afternoon there with blazing sun and nice pool. The hotel room was cozy and fresh, liked the style. The service also the top, had to look for cork-opener with the help of 2 different people so must say that the will was really there. Breakfast, on the other hand, may not have been super good. Was the same as at all other Scandic and their vego range is much like 2004 still. Even some people complained about the location, which we agreed with. Cozy place anyway and recommended!

Brunkeberg's square has really gotten better in recent years. From a forgotten part of town to a place where really good hotels and restaurants are located.
Downtown Caper is hard to describe. That's good, but maybe also a little too pretentious? There are canoes and other adventure stuff hanging from the ceiling, there is a large net you can lie on and listen to music. It feels... well, I don't know. A bit contrived.
On the other hand, it's very pretty! The room was super cozy, clean and tidy. The bar on the ground floor nice and the spa area on the roof really lovely. We sat for several hours in the warm outdoor pool with a glass of bubbly and watched the sun go down over the rooftops. It was magical!
However, the staff was not so nice. And with the pandemic, you had to make an appointment for breakfast - which they didn't announce when booking and we got an appointment at 11(!). Which was far too late. In addition, it meant that we had to sit at the bar and half of everything on the tables was gone. No pancakes, no crossiants, etc. I really don't think that's okay, it's beneath all criticism - especially when you as a guest are forced to eat at a time you don't really want to eat at. So we really didn't get our money's worth. In addition, it was extremely messy, messy and loud at breakfast - certainly not a cozy start to the day. Everything here means that they almost only got a three in rating but the cozy room and spa manage to poke it up a bit.
Haven't been to the bar up there yet so that will have to be the next visit! Because I can imagine going back, despite the staff and the others miss, they get another chance! Somewhat shattered the above, I know - but then the experience was really twofold...
