Being American-Swedish I’ve never understood why people go to Starbucks. I do it myself every five years or so, just to check if it’s still the same old junk or if they by any chance have made an effort to improve. It’s always a huge disappointment. The coffee is awful, the pastries and sandwiches seem to have rolled directly off the industrial conveyor belt, the whole atmosphere is utterly impersonal and the young and underpaid staff rarely makes anything to cheer you up. Spend your money elsewhere. Starbucks is f**king rock bottom.
