Interesting that the owner (Patrik- barista boy with tatoos) came in the premises 6 years ago as interior designer but later he took over the pretzel. Kringlan has many permanent customers and most are older women who buy bread and buns and stay for "chit chat sessions" with Patrik, how nice! I've walked past this café for so many years, thinking that I'll go in someday but forgot about it time and time again. Then I happened to end up here a couple of weeks ago and got such a great feeling when I stepped in! Such a cozy atmosphere and extremely nice staff. Turned out that the guy was the owner of the café and that his mother had baked the bread I was recommended for breakfast. The bread was so incredibly good! It really tasted freshly baked.
Then I was back again for lunch and then we had pie, also baked by the owner's mother. The pie was amazingly good as well. Spinach pie (there were several different varieties) that was very juicy and perfectly cooked. Many pies tend to be too dry and crumbly, I think, but not this one. I really can't complain, other than that 140 SEK feels a bit much for a pie at a café. At the same time, it tastes so much better than in "regular cafés", so still worth it I think.
The environment is cozy, old photographs and various details. It's liked! Not the typical sterile environment.
