The bak are brilliant on all kinds of pastries, buns and bread. Understandably, of course, because they're called Bak. Now it is the case that it is not only the bakery stuff that should be reviewed, but the whole thing that is a large café with food selection. Then it'll be three stars, albeit strong.
Once called Bak Dessert & Chocolate and was located on Lilla Essingen (that unit was sold february 2020). People went there and they were really famous for their cardamom buns, pralines and other goodies. Mmmmm
Bak has all that but now there is also an ambition to serve food and this is where it falls. It's like they want too much. It should be homegrown, home-seeded, home-leaved and homemade, but they forgot about the whole and the flavors. If you buy a grilled sandwich for 95kr that will come with salad, it must come with the salad and it must taste good. It is not enough with two slices of Levain, different types of cabbage and some cheese and then forget about the salad. Then it's 95kr expensive.
The feeling is, however, absolutely wonderful in the room. The staff is so messy beautiful, people get to move around tables anyway and wagons are everywhere. I wonder what the fire department thinks of it.
In short: of course you should visit Bak, but are just pastries. Then you will give them a strong four or a five.
