Review of Space62 – by Emmi A.

I and my partner went a weekend to Gothenburg for some relaxation. Was tipped off to visit Space62 after warm recommendations from a couple of locals. My wishes were a pretty quiet and cozy place, with good food. After seeing the word löjromstacos on the menu I was sold, and these I went and sued for several days before the visit. It was thus the first I ordered in from the menu, which focuses on small dishes to share (these I shared, however, not with me of 😄). The guy got to eat charcuterie with tasty cheeses and cured meats, so he was satisfied anyway.

Löjromstacosen were wonderfully good, but also nice to look at! Then my guy ordered the sirloin steak to the main course which, according to his admission was very good. I tasted and can attest that it was perfectly fried. However, I continued to test my way through the smaller dishes on the menu. For my part, it was thus bleak romstacos, scallops with cauliflower crème (missed to take picture of it), grilled asparagus followed by an incredibly tasty and summery dessert with rhubarb and sorbet. The guy chose a coffee drink as a dessert, which was also tasty. For dinner we drank prosecco, red wine and beer.

If we were satisfied? Yes! Did we get off the hook? Actually, given that we were two people who drank and ate us satiated on the many different dishes from the menu. The service was awesome! My boyfriend is gluten intolerant, so the chef came out of the kitchen to tune in (plus points!). Two nice waitresses took care of us during the evening, was helpful with tips regarding both drinks and choice of dishes. The service was done at a good pace and we felt seen, which is always appreciated. I will definitely recommend others to go here and I'll gladly make a new visit when I'm in Gothenburg next time.
