Tea House Theatre

Tea House Theatre is a unique and award-winning venue. Considered one of the capital's top destinations for tea drinkers, the café serves premium loose leaf teas, as well as food. Added to that, the venue has its own theatre that hosts a variety of events and performances, including a seasonal theatre school for budding actors.

The whole place has a cosy and bohemian feel with lots of natural light flooding in. Around the space you'll see artwork, shelves stacked up high with books, teapots in knitted cosies, flowers, and board games to pass the time whilst you relax with a cuppa. There are also some resident cats and a few beehives on the roof that the venue uses to make its own exclusive honey, with jars available for purchase. You can order celebration cakes as well.

Visit Tea House Theatre by day and you can relax with your choice of tea. Food is served as well – go the whole hog with afternoon tea, visit for a cooked breakfast or lunch, or try a sweet treat like cake. Substantial meals, including a roast, are served on Sundays. By evening, alcohol and hot snacks and meals are served.

As night falls, this place becomes a lively venue that hosts a range of diverse events including debates, live gigs, knitting and crochet circles, theatre shows, and jazz jams. You're also welcome to hire the venue for your own event, including weddings or your own stage show. It doesn't matter when you visit; there's sure to be something exciting happening at this creative and welcoming space.
