Mangal 2

Now run by the second generation since splintering from the nearby Mangal 1, Mangal 2 is a well-known Turkish ocakbasi restaurant in Dalston. The large open charcoal grill for which this style of cuisine is named is the basis for a refined Anatolian-inspired menu that updates traditional specialties for contemporary times. You can’t go wrong with a fresh sourdough pide or some kofte while waiting for the grilled goods to arrive, and the desserts such as carob cake are worth special mention as well.
