Pie and mash shops are usually found further to the east, their quick and cheap eats somewhat out of place in the posh Notting Hill area. Cockney's Pie & Mash Shop, however, successfully breaks down any geographical barriers, serving traditional pie and mash to hungry Portobello Road marketgoers. They're young compared to some of London's other pie purveyors, dating back “only” to the mid-1990s, but the food is authentic and tasty.
