Ham Yard Hotel

Belying its somewhat unrefined name, the Ham Yard is an exquisitely designed hotel on the edge of the West End, just a couple of minutes' walk from Piccadilly Circus, Carnaby Street, Regent Street and Chinatown. Revolving around a tree-filled garden with a bronze centrepiece by award-winning British sculptor Sir Tony Cragg, the entire hotel serves as an artistic showcase itself, even offering art enthusiasts occasional tours of its exhibits.

The bedrooms and suites were furnished by acclaimed British interior designer Kit Kemp. Each individually designed accommodation displays Kemp's signature mix of colours, patterns, textures and craftsmanship, and boasts floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the London skyline or the verdant courtyard below. All of the rooms feature ensuite bathrooms and modern amenities such as air conditioning and soundproofing.

The attention to details extends to the hotel's other facilities, including not just a fully equipped gym with personal trainers, but also a spa with various treatments, an original 1950s bowling alley with vintage bowling gear, and an exclusive leafy rooftop terrace with sweeping views and the hotel's two beehives, which even provide the hotel with its own honey. The hotel's influence also spreads beyond its doors, with the delightful independent boutiques of Ham Yard Village, including Kemp's studio, just outside.
