One of the world's best bars walks into one of the world's best restaurants …

Mexico City's Handshake Speakeasy is paying an exclusive visit to London's esteemed restaurant Kol.

For one night only, Handshake Speakeasy, an acclaimed bar that's ranked #11 on the World's 50 Best Bars list (#2 in North America), will take over The Mezcaleria bar at Kol – the latter being no slouch in the World's 50 Best department either, having come in at #23 on the World's 50 Best restaurants this year.

Handshake Speakeasy is famous for using vintage spirits and homemade tinctures and infusions in concoctions that meld tradition and innovation, evoking the spirit of 1920s Hollywood and the Prohibition era. During the visit, Handshake's Bar Director Erik Van Beek will team up with Kol Mezcaleria's Bar Manager Matthias Ingelmann to craft a limited-edition menu featuring sic Oaxaca-inspired cocktails. The drinks will be accompanied by a menu of antojitos snacks by Kol's Chef Patron Santiago Lastra.

Handshake Speakeasy comes to Kol as part of the latter's Explorer Series on 17 September. Tickets are priced at £15 and include a welcome cocktail. Book yours here.
