Four London hotels appear in The World's 50 Best Hotels inaugural list

By now we're quite used to London topping all sorts of charts, whether it's being home to top chefs, world-leading bars, or the most gorgeous pubs. Now there's another accolade that the city can lay claim to – it's home to four of the best hotels in the entire world. Two hotels in other parts of the UK also made the list but London was the UK location that really stood out.

On 19th September the inaugural World's 50 Best Hotels list was unveiled at a glittering ceremony that took place right here at the Guildhall. The top spot was awarded to luxury hotel Passalacqua, opened in July 2022 on the shores of Lake Como. Whilst London's hotels might not quite be number one, the ones appearing in the list show that there are some exciting places to stay in the capital.

The highest-ranked British hotel was iconic venue Claridge's, which came in at number 16. The Connaught came in next at number 22. The newest London hotel to make the grade, NoMad London, was placed at number 46. The hotel opened in 2020. Finally, The Savoy was just behind it at number 47. Hotels in destinations as diverse as Athens, Bangkok, Antibes, and The Maldives also appeared on the list. London is clearly already doing well in the hotel stakes but, considering this is only the first year of the awards, we already can't wait to see which London hotels appear on the list in the future.
