Feast like you're in Ancient Greece

There's an event happening that'll be exciting for foodies and history lovers. The Hellenic Centre in Marylebone, a cultural centre celebrating all things Hellenic, is holding a lecture with dinner included on 9th March to reveal all about the significance of food in Ancient Greece and how what was on the menu differed between the rich and the poor. 

“Ancient Tastes: Tradition and Change in Hellenistic Athens” will begin with an hour-long lecture on food traditions and how food changed during ancient times, followed by a dinner of dishes prepared using historic recipes, with the menu bringing together dishes typically eaten by wealthier and less affluent Athenians. Water and wine are included too. Booking in advance is essential if you want to experience this unique and educational dinner party.
