This cinema shows a mix of films ranging from old classics to the latest from SF Studios and Hollywood. In addition to movies, visitors can also enjoy live opera concerts and rock concerts. Slitebio is run by a non-profit organisation that aims to enhance the cultural life in the area.

Fårö Pottery

Learn pottery

Fårö island is just north of Gotland, accessible by regular car ferry. Visit Fårö Pottery, a place that welcomes anyone who wants to learn about pottery and enjoy the calm and peaceful surroundings for a while. You can also have coffee and enjoy locally produced food from the garden, as well as buy souvenirs from the farm shop. A perfect day trip!

Discover the past

Learn more about the history of Gotland when you visit Bunge museum in Fårösund in northern Gotland. There's something for everyone here, adults and children alike. Book a guided tour or stroll around on your own. For children, there's fun entertainment in various forms, and of course, there's a food and coffee shop for when hunger strikes. A cosy day out for all.

Corporate clients and private individuals come here to experience one of Gotland's finest glass studios, and to try their hand at the art of glassblowing. Jennie and her staff work to create a fantastic activity for both children and adults, as well as for stag and hen dos or kick-off events.

The East Coast trail

Hike along the coast

Along the eastern coast, from Närsholmen to Anga meadow, you can hike alongside vast sandy beaches, picturesque fishing villages, and cliffs with wide panoramas. This particular trail is 73 kilometres long, but there are more to choose from around the island, such as the 60km-long Pilgrimage trail St. Olav's Way and the 30km-long Cliff Coast trail.

Ala Gård

On the eastern coast, you'll find Katthammarsvik and nearby Ala Gård. At this welcoming farm next to the parish church you can partake in workshops focused on gardening, shop for antiques and egg tempera paints and pick your own flowers.

Mandatory flea market

Visiting a flea market on Gotland if pretty much obligatory. This one, near Stånga in southern Gotland, stocks a generous range of items. You can find design items, craftsmanship, and pre-loved odds and ends. The stock is continuously replenished, and the selection is frequently updated.

Hammargage Hällar

If you're visiting Gotland you must see the island's famous rauks - limestone seastacks - which are found all over Gotland. This one, Hammargage Hällar, can be found in the south and it's a beautiful spot where you can take a swim. Other places to see raukar include Gamla Hamn, Digerhuvud, Langhammar and Folhammar.

Cycling

Explore the island on wheels

Cycling is the perfect way to see this relatively flat island. The southern coastal road, between Kettelviken and Hoburgen, is a beautiful cycling route with the wow factor. An activity suitable for families with small children, groups of friends and romantic couples.

Activities in west Gotland

Surflogiet

An activity-filled oasis

You'll find this magical oasis on Tofta beach. Under the sun's rays, or the orange light of the sunset, you can not only eat and drink but also enjoy a variety of experiences. Swim, sauna, paddle, yoga, skate, get a massage or surf. A place that welcomes groups of friends and families as well as couples. If you want to stay overnight, you can book one of their glamping tents.

The Karlsö islands

Unspoilt nature

The islands of Stora and Lilla Karlsö are on the western side of Gotland. Accessible by boat, these islands offer beautiful, unique, and unspoilt nature surrounded by the Baltic Sea. Visitors can hike, explore the sights, encounter animals, discover plants, birds, fossils, and plenty of cultural history. Stora Karlsö offers accommodation and a restaurant, while Lilla Karlsö has simple cabins available.
