Purrfect Café

Do you enjoy the company of four-legged friends? At Purrfect Café you can hang out with furry felines while you have a coffee and something to eat. Founders Alice and Rebecca have many years of experience working at animal hospitals and here at Purrfect Café they've created a home for homeless cats while they serve their guests a large selection of cakes and pastries.

Drop by Gothenburg's first cat café and unwind with a cup of coffee or tea and something tasty from the extensive café menu. They serve everything from sandwiches to buns, cakes and pies, all homemade and with many vegan and gluten-free options.

If you want to ensure a cosy time playing with the cats you can book a time in advance, an encounter that's as beneficial for the cats as it is for us humans, particularly if you suffer from stress or anxiety. The cats here are all up for adoption for various reasons, so perhaps you'll meet your purrfect match? The café also offers cat yoga.

Sadly, hundreds of thousands of cats in Sweden are homeless; this is one of the country's largest animal welfare problems. With their deep knowledge of cats, Purrfect Café wants to change society's attitude to cats and prevent cats from being abandoned.
