FEB 2023 - Theme "Dim Sum"
Oh how I like Wood Stockholm. Will definitely become tradition to go here every theme. Yesterday I enjoyed cod wontons with xo sauce, a cod that was divine, chicken hearts, deep-fried fog ice, halibut with incredible vegetables and dressing, a baozi with a guuuudomlig broth. Incredible wines on it too! Everything from funky orange, rice wine and Chinese riesling. The service here is also 10/10. That said, I really like Wood.

Temat var renässans! Vi beställde deras avsmakningsmeny på fyra olika rätter, 3 mindre och 1 större. Min favorit var nog den italienska löksoppan, den såg inte mycket ut, men wow va den var god. Till efterrätt beställde jag en Ninja Turtles Pizza, den bestod av en mandelkaka, mascarpone kräm och thaibasilika sorbet. Till varje rätt tog servitören fram ett nytt passade vin till oss, både klassiska men även lite mer vågade viner för oss att få testa.

Servicen var verkligen något utöver det vanliga. All personal var kunniga och serviceinriktade. Vid varje rätt förklarade de hur maträtten var kopplad till temat, vilket var väldigt kul att höra. Dock saknade jag kanske mer info om själva maten.

Känslan inne i restaurangen var lite hipp, stökig, trång men en skön känsla. Sån där känsla man vill ha på en poppis resturang. Mycket av inredningen och serveringen var handgjorda av formgivare. Sånt tycker jag om! Att de dessutom har handdukar på toan, bindor och tamponger gör det bara bättre!

It would have been like a main course, but instead I took the vegetarian dish that consisted of deep fried red cabbage with chickpeas, mint and some kind of chilomajonäs on top. May not sound much to the world but it is clearly among the best vegetarian dishes I've eaten if not the best. Incredibly good and never wanted it to end. My company was at least as satisfied as I am! We'll be back in the near future.
