Feels like the menu has always been the same, and the dishes are not even super. The location is lovely, and knowledgeable chefs are there to say the least in the house, should be easy to do it better than what it is now.
I have heard so much plenty of Oaxen so I booked in a supplier dinner where the person really loves food and restaurants that get to that little extra. The watch wasn't very much but some dishes were already deleted from the menu. Sitting near the water is always lovely but unfortunately the food that came out could not live up to all the fine words that I heard before. The meat was tough and unfortunately it was mostly quite tasteless. The staff did not seem stressed but had no track that we sat and waving for five minutes to get someone's attention. I ended up walking and fetched water and cutlery that had been missed, even though we said to earlier. Hopefully, this whole experience was only a one-time occurrence. To end up with something positive, the dessert was surprisingly good, so maybe it's a good idea to go there for dessert and a glass of bubbly? 🥂

Nice local and nice food! worth a visit or two. Shared with my partner on hors d'oeuvres / middle dishes as we thought the main courses let something dull. Hint!
Took a turbot that was for 2 people. Super tasty. The waiter was very nice and good. Great food and good service. We sat outside in the summer evening and blankets were there. Recommended.
It's a big disappointment! One may have requirements for restaurants with star status and with dishes that cost. I think that will increase the demands.
They delivered very uneven taste sensations on the dishes. Some dishes were really good. So they can cook. While others were, to no say and really tasteless, boring and poor. So it felt a bit twisted that it swayed so much in what they delivered.
The worst part was probably a seed crunch that was like eating small fish. And a dessert with sea buckthorn cream, meringues on a marie biscuit. That dessert was under all criticism.
We ate four servings.
SNACKS Lamb chops that were good but not much more than that. •Puffed pork rind experienced really good. Salty, tart, crunchy, cheesy, creamy. Well done! ÄTTER The steak was good. Some kind of shrimp sandwich was really boring and felt as if the dish was not fully developed. Either too much bread or too little bread. MAIN COURSE •For the main course there was a hung-up steak. Which was a perfectly fine piece of meat. But no more than okay. •Accessories for the meat we took leeks and cabbage. Which was more like a soup and quite boring taste picture. •We also took deep-fried fermented potatoes which was a real highlight. They saved the main course. DESSERT •Seaweed cream with mareng which was really bad. Far from worth the price. •Spruce ice cream with raw apple syrup was still good, fun when it happens a little in the mouth. Oaxen är en fantastisk restaurang ute på Djurgården. Har ätit både lunch, brunch och middag här. Servicen och maten är alltid bra, men tycker sällan maten är wow. Favoriten hittills är deras råbiff. Förutom den är det dock ingen rätt ännu som verkligen har hänfört mig, det mesta är dock alltid bra.
