We visited Grinda yesterday for the first time even though we live in the archipelago all summer. We had booked a table for dinner at Wärdshuset and were a little disappointed with most things. It started with a drink on the terrace where you can go and pick up yourself, the tables full of dishes and not wiped off. Then when we sat down at the table, our table was set up and in addition, it took a very long time with both ordering and before the food arrived. We had asked to quickly get a children's portion of meatballs for a tired 3-year-old but it came after our starter and we had to ask for it again. They have a lovely terrace / veranda to sit on but very uncozy, no lights, no flowers or anything that makes it a little nice. However, the food was good and the prices were ok. We took clay pot herring for starters, butter-baked char for the main course and finished with the chocolate bomb. All 3 dishes tasted great. The menu also included meatballs and boeuf bourguignon, none of which feels so fun on a summer menu.

Looking forward to eating at Grinda Värdshus. Unfortunately a big disappointment! Herring platter for an appetizer, fish was okay, but the potatoes were probably cooked the day before and warmed in the microwave. Tasted awful! For the main course we ate Beef Rydberg, again potatoes almost uneatable, safely store bought frozen potato cubes. The meat was tough! Perhaps you are skilled at preparing fish. It was a big disappointment, that pay lots of money for such a meal! Can barely give you a plus, but it gets you for the courteous staff plus a cosy place.
