A home for contemporary electronic music on Kingsland Road, Basing House is a weekends-only affair, with the occasional Thursday bash thrown in for good measure. The 300-capacity venue has been around since 2010, hosting different promotors programming house, techno and disco events, including names such as A Guy Called Gerald, Ilario Alicante and Maya Jane Coles. The venue also has a rooftop smoking area.
