A royal residence next to Kensington Gardens, Kensington Palace is currently the official London home of the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children. Dating back to the 17th century, the elegant palace was inhabited, among others, by Queen Victoria and Diana, Princess of Wales – both are commemorated with statues in the palace gardens.
