Described as the birthplace of British Cinema, Regent Street Cinema showed the first motion picture in the UK. The oldest independent cinema in the country is housed in a Grade II listed building with a dome-like ceiling, a 1936 organ and a magnificent Art Deco auditorium that is used for premieres as well as regular screenings. The programme includes both independent and studio productions.
