St John's Smith Square

At St John's Smith Square, performance, acoustics, atmosphere, and architecture converge to create an unforgettable experience. The building, designed and constructed by Thomas Archer, has withstood fire, lightning, bomb plots, and the Blitz. Its Baroque splendour is complemented by exceptional acoustics, and since being restored as both a church and concert hall in the late 1960s, it has showcased some of the most exceptional classical talent. It also houses a café in its crypt.
