The Lamb & Flag has been a historic part of Covent Garden since 1772, when it was first established as The Coopers Arms. It earned a rather grislier moniker in the 19th century, when it was called "The Bucket of Blood" due to the bare-knuckle prize fights that took place there, but these days it's known as a lovely Georgian pub with a nice courtyard, fresh pub grub and plenty of interesting facts for history buffs. For instance, Charles Dickens was a regular here.
