National Portrait Gallery to house two eateries when reopened

The National Portrait Gallery has been undergoing extensive remodelling since June 2020. The transformed space will finally reopen this June, bringing a pair of eateries by established restaurateurs along for the ride.
The first of the two eateries is Audrey Green, a more informal café and bar by Antipodean brunch stalwarts Daisy Green, who operate several location around the capital. The ground-floor café will offers artisan coffee, lunches and cakes throughout the day, as well as serving exhibition-themed afternoon teas and brunch in the National Portrait Gallery's historic vaults. Audrey Green will be decorated with photos and sculptures celebrating the West End, and transform into a cocktail bar later in the evening.
The second of the two restaurants is Portrait Restaurant by acclaimed chef and restaurateur Richard Corrigan. Rather than a new venture, this is the return of a beloved gallery eatery, situated at the top floor and boasting views of the London skyline. The fine dining establishment will be decorated with sculptures from the gallery's collection and served seasonal British food, including Corrigan's signature dishes such as Crispy Oyster Croque Monsieur. The food will be complemented by fine wines and classic cocktails from the bar.
The National Portrait Gallery reopens on 22 June, with members able to take advantage of priority and discounted rates when booking.
