No, no, no. Kass-aj! Was at the premiere of the new concept Kyoto, a "cabaret club" that marcus schuterman is behind. I don't have words for how bad and it was all. There were some flowers hanging from the ceiling, and that's it. And if someone had shown me a little fleetingly how a DJ equipment works, I could easily have spun the music at least as well as the DJ who played this evening. Disaster... and yes, it was not my style of music that was played but you can still do a show if you are technically good at what you do.
Actually, I do not review events like this directly when there are new openings and something completely new for there is partly a lot of nervousness and small details that are not in place, that usually comes on only after. But since I've been to the nightclub that was here before, you expect a boost - and cabaret club? I don't know what the owners' credentials are but I would have been incredibly disappointed if I went to a real cabaret club and it was like this. Not that I was here very often before the reopening, but I very much doubt that I will go back here. If that were to happen, I am incredibly eager to put my teeth into their food that looks deeeeeelicious!

You know that saying "sold the butter with the money"... That's exactly how my feeling was when I left here, from an otherwise very pleasant evening. I had really drowned in my hopes and expectations for what looked like a tacos paradise. I have an unhealthy relationship with tacos and if you take a universal definition of "addiction", yep then you will find me in it. Tacos control my everyday life, it sneaks in here and there. Just yesterday I ate it for lunch and the leftovers that were left over... well they became part of the supper that became, believe it or not ... Tacos. Handy, some dishes and dreamy. Well, I love tacos and after what I had heard and seen on social media, I was fantastically happy when I got company to the neighborhood restaurant Maiz. The room I think is very cozy, like that they have an upper floor so you can look down at the bar / out on the street. Perhaps, however, it was the case that we managed to get the best seat along the railing that contributed to us not having to sit pressed anywhere. Don't know how happy I would have been if we were placed near the bar and the door down there... will probably never know. The staff were initially nice and welcomed (I came last) but not much more than that and it turned out in retrospect what a fantastic lack of service awareness they are here. I have mentioned many times in my reviews how I want to feel that relaxed feeling in not having to lift a finger, to the point: not having to think when I make a restaurant visit haha - it's part of the service itself, I think. Here the menu was not updated (it said otherwise on the website and different on the menus that we received) and was misleading and in this case so poorly described that you had to guess how much food there would be in each dish. In the past, the menu has apparently been a bit more expensive with more than one tacos per order, now a bit cheaper but with only one... something that is extremely important to tell your restaurant guests. We also had to wave at the waiter (who missed us and our order a couple of times), perceived the waiting time for the food as long and all around there were plates and debris. She was, however, very nimble about wanting to remove our plates even though we hadn't eaten. Rather unprofessional and stressful, but we sat calmly in the boat.
The food I was really so described on - and they do not serve authentically Mexican (thank god - then I can still go to Mexico) but fresh flavors that take influences mainly from Peru, East Asia and sometimes even Sweden. On the website they write "Be prepared to be both surprised and seduced" and "The food is challenging, with heat and flavors that stand out. Ordered deep fried corn and I had really imagined fresh deep fried corn with some najs spice on it but absolutely stupid of me not to ask before. Got a small bowl of unsalted half-crunched corn kernels... unclear and please remove it from the menu. Then followed a taco with steak tartare, a tacos with salmon and a tortilla with tuna. It was beautiful to watch and I got lots of inspiration for future tacos nights but it tasted nothing? Overall poorly seasoned and I had to salt the food (everything except the salmon) every time I took a bite. The salvation for the evening was the various strong/sweet tabasco sauces they had on the table that brought up a small portion of that acidity/sweetness/heat in the food. And for those of you who want to learn how to eat steak tartare, I recommend 110% to go to a classed schooled chef who has done it more times than you will eat throughout life. Shameful to serve a steak tartare that way... completely mashed and slimy. You are doing yourself a favor not to order it. Was absolutely SURPRISED that it was so bad and absolutely SEDUCED in my opinion FOR THE DECEIVE which also means deceiving someone. .. haha.
In other words, if you want a culinary -> dining experience <- you should spend your money on another restaurant. In any case, I will continue to cook my own beloved svenne-tacos!
Maiz... Not so najz.

My "neighborhood gym" but also the one I've visited the least of all Stockholm's Nordic Wellness. As I spend countless hours at the gym every week, month and year, it's an important environment for me and it affects my performance and mood immensely. Psychologically, I'm more motivated if the environment is inviting, well-lit and has large areas. Not least that the premises are well equipped.
Here everything is very worn, old, there is limited equipment and not much free space. The few times I've visited the gym in a hurry, even the machines I've wanted to use have been broken. It doesn't remind me at all of a classic NW gym, rather a concoction of some non-profit neighbor in the neighborhood who happened to come across a basement room. I'd rather go 10 minutes into the city to train there, where group training is also offered.

Naaah, I'm not so saved in Johan & Nyström's concept. The coffee is of course good (if you like heavy mustility, bitterness, smoky or coffee that tastes prunes) but nothing I go around and suars over in the days. The premises do not appeal to me either and the service is nothing further here, unfortunately. Since it is a relatively newly built room, it is "for fresh" in my taste, like when it is more snuly and preferably a bit bohemian. Do not misinterpret me, but the one who knows-knows. It is otherwise cool that they have established themselves so quickly and that you can go in and buy their different coffees directly in the store.
It's something with franchise... I rather go to small unique cubbyhole and support them instead. And maybe my score is colored on my assessment, but I stand by that it is not/was something special and the Bullen I ate was the right torftig. The rest of the food and coffee they serve certainly looks good and it is not impossible that it tastes afterwards. I haven't tried other J&N places and I know that all of them are not identical (which is a bit exciting and innovative) but I still don't have much interest in spending my money here.
Otherwise, where on a coffer arranged with their different coffees and where they "educated" us in different coffee cultures, different ways to brew coffee on and tried to make us look at coffee as more than anything that goes through a filter. Really nice buddy activity if you like coffee and want to make to everyday life!

Trendy and visually satisfying but flops on by far the most important: THE TASTE! If you want to eat healthily, you know that you have to pay a slightly higher sum and here their "in my world small" big breakfast costs 119kr.
I have on a number of occasions visited JOS and eaten most of them from their menu. Wraps, salads, bowls, rawfika and juices. As for the food, it consists of different vegetable bases, proteins, sauces and oils that you can either combine yourself or order finished from the menu, on a plate or in wrap. However I tried to depart what symbolizes JOS in my world is that everything is sour. It quickly becomes difficult in both the stomach and mouth of all the acid that is in the food, especially in the different salad bases. The sauces do not live up with any freshness either, but become only bossy and tasteless. It feels a bit like when you were a kid and gegged everything together and made it unrecognizable. But they shouldn't be knitted under the chair with it may be good, but in this case... No-no!
Juice tastes like juice, nothing remarkable and rawfikan is overprice. Doesn't taste so good either. then you might as well go to a grocery store and buy a taser bar for half the price.
But to highlight something good about JOS is their local and outdoor dining that falls to me in taste. Scandinavian industrial, cleant and there are soft pillows, blankets and green leaf plants that make it rebonate. Hence 2 stars, but probably really want to give a 1st for the food is really not good, do not understand why it still pilgrimages people there and that they choose to eat that food when there are at least 50 better salad bars in Gothenburg. Sure, it's nice to watch and gets good on the picture – but it's nothing to boast about!
