As you may have surmised from the name, The Italian Cousins is run by two Italian cousins with a major passion for Italian flavours and small-scale producers. Pop by their little deli next to Vasa park for a slice of pizza, a cup of espresso, a little charcuterie, a glass of natural wine, or perhaps a post-work Aperol spritz.
It all began with a food truck which Davide and Enrico drove up from Italy to Sweden, filled with organic parmesan, air-dried ham and tomatoes. Today they run pizza places as well as a catering business in Stockholm. You'll find their authentic Italian white-tiled pizza bar/deli on Odengatan, opposite Vasa Park and close to Odenplan. The grey-painted counter is filled with square pizza slices with various toppings, as well as charcuterie and other Italian delicacies. The ingredients are hand-selected from small-scale producers in both Sweden and Italy.
The Italian Cousins is open for lunch, coffee, dinner and post-work drinks. If you're not that hungry, pop by for an espresso and tiramisu, or if you fancy a drink you can choose from everything from non-alcoholic drinks to cocktails such as Aperol spritz. The rustic shelves stock selected natural wines and naturally you can always accompany your pizza with a little craft beer. During the summer months, take a pew outside on the simple pavement al fresco dining area and watch the world go by.
